 What is IITA? The Institute for Information Technology Applications opened as an independent research center at the USAF Academy in Aug 98. Supported by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research under SAF/AQ, the IITA mission is to conduct information technology application research for the DOD, the Air Force and the USAF Academy. The accelerating pace of IT innovation requires a flexible research element capable of organizing multidisciplinary expertise to evaluate technologies new to the information world for potential application in the Air Force environment.
